LWVNWMC EBLAST - MARCH 27, 2024

Published by the NW Maricopa County League of Women Voters

NWMC MEMBERSHIP ANNUAL MEETING DATE CANCELLED

Due to an unfortunate event at the UU Church that caused a great deal of environmental damage to the building where we meet regularly, we have had to cancel our scheduled Annual Meeting on April 20.  Please watch our May VOTER newsletter for a new date and possible new location as the Board of Directors considers other options.

FUNDRAISING UPDATE

Thank youA big thank you to all NWMC members who have made a contribution to our fundraising appeal to send our delegates to the LWVUS National Convention in Washington DC in June 2024.  Every dollar you send to support this effort will pay dividends in helping us prepare for election season 2024.  Our delegates will bring back information we need to help us understand next steps in the Transformation process undertaken by LWVUS. (More information about this will be included in the May VOTER).

We will be sending Co-President Karen Devine and Treasurer Leslie Eaton to DC as our delegates to advocate for our league and the challenges ahead. The Board of Directors is asking our members to help pay for this investment in our future and has pledged $2000 from our treasury. We hope you will help us reach our goal of $1800.

Please send a donation by check in any amount.  Make check payable to LWVNWMC. Send your donation April 15, 2024 to: Leslie Eaton, Treasurer, 19116 N 93rd Ave, Peoria, AZ 85382
