MCTEC TourSusan and Linda headed up the organizing for the tour of the MARICOPA COUNTY TABULATION AND ELECTIONS CENTER (MCTEC) on Monday, 9-18-23.  Our large group of members and invited guests were split into two groups.  We were able to observe the changes and updates that have been made to make the facility and its contents more secure and state-of-the-art election administration that meets best practices.  Susan and Linda thank everyone for their cooperation with registration, carpooling, arriving on time and level of participation. View MCTEC Tour Photos

We’re excited to announce meaningful enhancements to the Deputy Registrar (DR) Program and additional support.  Welcome Roman Sierra as our full-time Deputy Registrar Program Coordinator.  We’re also delighted to introduce our new Junior Deputy Registrar Program.  Although details are still unfolding, if you are passionate about engaging with high school students, please get in touch with Roman.


DR DEBORAH TURNER, PRESIDENT OF LWVUS, ON CNN

The League of Women Voters of US President Dr Deborah Turner appeared on the PBS NEWSHOUR on 9-19-23 and was interviewed about Voter Registration Day, happening on the same day.  She did a great job representing the LWV mission of aiding all US citizens to become registered and emphasized our nonpartisan stance.
